There are many reasons why volunteering is important, without volunteer support we wouldn't be able to successfully run our programs.
There are many different volunteer opportunities with our program, some of the roles are; *Horse leader, *Side Walker, * Barn Buddy,
*Facility volunteer, * Office Volunteer.
“We make a living by what we get. We make a life by what we give.” – Winston Churchill
Everyone who comes though our program and volunteers makes a huge difference in the lives of our participants. If you volunteer with a lesson you are helping that rider by leading their horse or supporting them side-walking. Without your help we wouldn't be able to have that lesson. If you want to help take care of the facility or the horses you are also making a difference in our participants lives because you are helping to keep our facility beautiful and our horses healthy and happy.
What do you gain?
When volunteering you gain equine experience, you help support and make a difference in your community. If in school you can gain volunteer hours, internships are available as well. Also when you volunteer with us it makes you feel good, you get to see our wonderful animals and grow a bond with them. You get to develop meaningful connections with our participants and watch them grow and develop their skills each week. You also gain skill sets and can learn so much from volunteering with our program that you can take an apply outside of Manes In Motion.
“Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world; indeed, it’s the only thing that ever has.” – Margaret Mead
